Green tea helps keep the immune system running normally. Maintaining a healthy immune system is essential in handling infections from bacteria, parasites and viruses.

Ginger acts as an antimicrobial (an agent that kills bacteria – including salmonella) internally and topically as an antiseptic.
Two natural antibiotic agents are found in ginger, containing anti-inflammatory agents

When selecting yogurt, look for the ones that have “live and active cultures” printed on the label. That’s because these cultures are capable of stimulating and strengthening your immune system to help it fight diseases. Yogurt can also be a great source of Vitamin D, so try to select brands rich in Vitamin D.

SALMON

Eating salmon can also boost the immune system,  they provide high levels of protein and Omega-3 fatty acids, keeping our cells in working order. It is also rich in Vitamin E, and calcium. It is recommended that we should include fish like salmon in our diet at least three times a week.

PINEAPPLE

Pineapples are full of B group vitamins including thiamine (B1) and B6, both of which are vital for energy metabolism and nerve function. Bromelain, an enzyme known for assisting the digestion of protein, is found in pineapples. The compound allows your body to use immune-boosting amino acids more effectively.

Remember, these are only a few of the ways you can easily boost your immune function, and there’re plenty of other ways to keep our bodily systems in working order. I wish you all the best on your health endeavours. Stay healthy and happy!
